Asbury Woods provides several unique and beautiful rooms and areas of the grounds that are available for rental for private functions. We’ll help make your meeting or special occasion a memorable experience for your guests. Events which take place outside of normal operating hours incur an additional $25 per hour staffing fee. This historic barn was built in 1928 and now anchors the south end of Asbury Woods’ property. Located at 5774 Sterrettania Road, Brown’s Farm Barn is available for rental May 1 – November 1. Amenities include two levels, open floor plan and a back deck. Brown’s Farm Barn is the perfect blank canvas to create a rustic and nature inspired event. Please note, parking is limited and we suggest making off-site parking and shuttle service arrangements.
$1,250 rental fee includes 3 hour event, 2 hours for set-up, 1 hour for tear down and on-site staff contact for the duration of the event. Additional hours can be arranged at a rate of $125 per hour.
This quaint picnic shelter is located adjacent the Nature Center at 4105 Asbury Road and has picnic table seating for up to 48 people. Rental of the picnic shelter offers your guests convenient access to the 50 acres of property and trails located adjacent to the Nature Center. During regular operating hours, your guests have access to our award winning Nature Center with its live animal exhibits and the Discovery Classroom. After hours rentals allow restroom access only. The Picnic Shelter is available for rental year-round and a wood burning fireplace can be used with an attendant. Electric is available.
$250 rental fee includes 3 hour event, 1 hour for set-up, 1 hour for tear down and on-site staff contact. Additional hours can be arranged at the rate of $75 per hour. A separate $25 per hour attendant fee is required for use of the fireplace.
Nestled among the trees behind the Nature Center is our intimate outdoor amphitheater that provides a tranquil place for a special ceremony or presentation. A brick patio offers the perfect staging area and bench seating can accommodate 75 people. For larger gatherings, Asbury Woods can provide chair seating for up to 30 more people. Our Picnic Shelter is reserved as back up site in case of inclement weather.
$350 rental fee includes use for up to three hours, use of bench covers if requested and on-site staff contact. If you require a rehearsal prior to the event, we can arrange a one hour rehearsal time for additional $50 fee at a mutually agreeable date.
The Celebration Garden is a unique circular stone patio with bench seating and beautiful gardens surrounding the center plaza. This centerpiece of the Asbury Woods property is adjacent to the Nature Center and pays tribute to the foresight of Otto Behrend whose gift of his cottage and adjacent lands were the cornerstone upon which Asbury Woods was built. The Celebration Garden perfectly blends rustic and refined elements to create a space unlike any other for your ceremony or presentation.
$575 rental fee includes use for up to three hours, set up of up to 50 additional chairs, access to electric and on-site staff contact. If you require a rehearsal prior to the event, we can arrange a one hour rehearsal time for additional $50 fee at a mutually agreeable date.
This impressive conference room was part of Otto Behrend’s original cottage erected in 1929. Large windows overlook the spectacular Carrie T. Watson Garden providing year-round views of birds and plantings which are incredible during any season. Two large conference tables provide seating for 18 people. Wi-fi connection, phone line and white board are available.

These large classrooms located in the Nature Center can accommodate 35 people per room when divided or up to 80 people when used as one large open space. Ample counter space, sinks, electric and audiovisual capabilities provide lots of flexibility to accommodate various types of events from presentations, meetings, showers and more.
$125 rental fee for one room or $200 rental fee for combined space includes two hour event, 30 minutes for set-up, 30 minutes for tear down, tables and chairs and on-site staff contact. Additional hours may be scheduled at a rate of $25 per hour for one classroom and $50 per hour for combined space.
