Asbury Woods Partnership, Inc., is seeking individuals interested in full-time/seasonal positions as Nature Camp Counselors. Individuals must be engaging and creative and enjoy working with children in an outdoor setting. Nature Camp Counselors lead a variety of nature-based exploration activities, games, hikes, science experiments, with the goal of creating fun experiences for campers that motivate them to explore nature. Asbury Woods provides weeklong day camp programs for children ages 4 -14. This work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

For students who are pursuing the degrees in the fields or environmental science, art, education, early childhood education, or natural sciences, this internship is an opportunity to gain experience work with children and connecting them to nature. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about planning and developing environmental educational programming for preschoolers and school-aged children. Interns will also be involved with our summer preschool programs, summer camp, and group visits while working with our Education staff. Interns will learn about the practices and day to day operations of a busy nature center. EE internships begin in May 2019 and end August 2019 and are available to current students and recent graduates. EE interns work 25 hours/week, on weekdays and occasionally on weekends or evenings, as needed.
Asbury Woods is seeking enthusiastic, optimistic, customer service-oriented individuals to assist the Marketing and Communications team. The successful candidate will be enrolled full-time in a major university or college and studying fields related to education, marketing, communications, public relations, or hospitality. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of customer service while working for a well-known community-based nonprofit organization.
For students who are pursuing degrees in the fields of environmental science, natural sciences, parks and recreation, botany, biology or other related programs, this internship is an opportunity to gain experience working at non-profit, connecting people to nature. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about planning and developing educational, recreational, and interpretive programming for visitors to the nature center. Interns will also work with Educations staff to provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment for our exhibit animals. Interns will interact with visitors of all ages to provide positive experiences. Interns will learn about the practices and day to day operations of a busy nature center. Naturalist internships begin in May 2019 and end August 2019 and are available to current students and recent graduates. Naturalist interns work 25 hours/week, on weekdays, some weekends and evenings, as needed.
