The Otto Behrend Celebration Garden is a wonderful new addition to the Asbury Woods property. Named in honor of our founder, Dr. Otto Behrend, the Celebration Garden is a unique circular stone patio with bench seating and beautiful gardens surrounding the Nature Center building.
The purpose of the Otto Behrend Celebration Garden is to recognize gifts in celebration, honor or memory of friends and loved ones. Located in a serene forest setting, the Garden is a quiet place to contemplate, reflect and remember.
Thanks to generous start-up donations from caring community members, Phase 1 of the Otto Behrend Celebration, which included the construction of an entrance trellis, central stone plaza sitting, as well as several landscaped gardens was completed in July 2014.
Gifts of varying levels will be recognized in the Garden through elements such as engraved metal leaves, ceramic walls tiles, ceramic column tiles, benches, and garden “rooms”.
