Student Volunteer Opportunities at Asbury Woods

Asbury Woods Nature Center is pleased to offer opportunities for high school students, ages 15 – 18, to complete service hours for school, scouting, or Church.   Student volunteers are needed for the following activities and events:

Maple Festival – April 6th and 7th – Students are invited to volunteer for craft and face painting activities.  Several shifts are available each day of the event.

Camp Counselor Assistants are needed during the summer for Nature, Art and Pre-School Camps.   Camp Counselor Assistants volunteer for the weeklong camp helping the Camp Counselors with various daily activities.  Hours for Camp are 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.  (30 hours of community service)

Invasive Species Removal Crew – Each Tuesday from 9:00 – noon during the summer student volunteers assist in removing invasive species and maintaining trials and other areas at the Nature Center.

For more information about these and other student volunteer opportunities contact Deb Testi, Volunteer Coordinator, at 836-6177 or dtesti@mtsd.org.
