The Nature Center has a wide variety of programs and tours available year round for adult and youth groups:
GROUP PROGRAMS FOR PRE-SCHOOLERS THRU 8TH GRADE
These 2-4 hour programs are open to groups of 10 or more. Each are designed to provide opportunities for participants to experience, study and enjoy nature. $5.00 per child for a 2 hour program. $7.00 per child for a 3.5-4 hour program.
Fall Seasonal Discovery
How do animals and plants prepare for the coming of winter? Come to Asbury Woods to go on a Fall Detective Nature Hunt and look for clues to answer this question. Discover the changes in nature that occur during this beautiful season.
Snow Shoeing and Tracking Adventure
C’mon out and discover the beauty of Asbury Woods in the winter. Learn tracking skills and try out trekking on snowshoes just like the Native Americans and early pioneers.
Maple Syrup Time
Everyone loves maple syrup and students will love this sweet program. Learn to identify maple trees, hike through an operating sugar bush and experience syrup production techniques from Native American times to today.
Cool Summer Fun
Enjoy the cool shade of Asbury Woods during a summer hike along the trails. A trained guide will lead your group to discover our swamp, forest and field.
PROGRAMS AND TOURS FOR ADULT GROUPS
Adult groups may choose to explore the wide diversity of flora and fauna found along our 4.5 miles of trails and boardwalks or learn about out our green building that is complete with native plant gardens, live animal displays, and a living vegetative roof.
All group programs and tours are approximately 1 1/2 hour long. To make your day at the Woods even more special, box lunches may be added for an additional fee.
$5.00 per person.
