Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, the Asbury Woods Partnership has recently been designated as an eligible Educational Improvement Organization by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Asbury Woods’ EITC donors make lifelong impacts, providing students throughout our region with access to an innovative science curriculum that provides a cornerstone for environmental stewardship. The K-12 educational opportunities offered at Asbury Woods provide hands-on, real world experiences that encourage scientific inquiry.
The EITC program was enacted by the Pennsylvania Legislature in 2001 and designed to encourage Pennsylvania businesses to partner in support of their local communities. In addition to generating goodwill, participating businesses can reduce their tax liability by supporting eligible organizations, such as the Asbury Woods Partnership. A business may receive a tax credit equal to 75% of its contribution, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year. Tax credits may be increased to 90% of the contribution made, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year, if the business agrees to provide the same amount of their contribution to an organization for two consecutive years.
For more information on how your business can make a difference at Asbury Woods and receive up to a 90% tax credit, contact Jennifer Brownlee, Development and Marketing Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (814) 836-6178. Read more about the EITC program and application process.
Thank You to our generous 2013-14 EITC Donors
